After shifting her focus from studying psychology to cinema and music, Shruti, daughter of award-winning actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika, travelled to the Musicians Institute in California. She has been a vocal artist for several films, including Hey Ram, En Mana Vaanil, Vaaranam Aaayiram, and also for Luck, a film in which she played the leading role opposite Imran Khan.
