Indian singer, model, and actress Shruti Haasan joins TeachAids
Indian singer-turned-actress Shruti Haasan has donated her voice and likeness to the role of the Indian student character in both the Indian English and Hindi TeachAids animations opposite Shabana Azmi. Talented in numerous art forms, Shruti is also an accomplished composer, songwriter, and model.
Shruti started her singing career at a young age, performing her first song at the of age six in her father’s film Thevar Magan. After shifting her focus from studying psychology to cinema and music, Shruti, daughter of award-winning actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika, travelled to the Musicians Institute in California. She has been a vocal artist for several films, including Hey Ram, En Mana Vaanil, Vaaranam Aaayiram, and also for Luck, a film in which she played the leading role opposite Imran Khan. Shruti also wrote, composed, and performed the soundtrack for the film Unnaipol Oruvan. She is currently filming for three additional films: Once Upon a Teardrop, 7aam Arivu, and Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji.
