Dr. Piya Sorcar
Founder and CEO, TeachAids
Dr. Piya Sorcar is the founder and CEO of TeachAids, an Adjunct Professor at Stanford’s School of Medicine and a Faculty Fellow at the Stanford Center for Innovation in Global Health. Leading a team of world experts in medicine, public health, technology and education she has established TeachAids’ research-based award-winning education programs in 82 countries, impacting more than half-a-billion people globally. In 2011, MIT Technology Review named her to its TR35 list of the top 35 innovators in the world under 35. She received her Ph.D. from Stanford University, and in 2016, she was a recipient of Stanford’s Graduate School of Education’s Alumni Excellence in Education Award.
