Olympic Wrestling Coach Kerry McCoy Joins CrashCourse Advisory Board
Kerry McCoy is a two-time US Olympian, Olympic Coach, and two-time NCAA Division 1 National Champion who has over 20 years of Division 1 coaching experience.
As the Head Wrestling coach at the University of Maryland and Stanford University, he was named Coach of the Year three times. McCoy dedicated his time to the development and mentoring of young men and women, both on the mat and beyond. He helped produce four NCAA Champions and over 40 individual NCAA All-Americans. He also coached the 2008 Olympic Team, as well as numerous international teams for the United States.
In addition to his commitment to wrestling at the collegiate and international levels, McCoy has worked with the Beat the Streets organization to provide opportunities to inner-city kids through wrestling clinics and camps. He recently retired from collegiate coaching and McCoy currently serves as Secretary of USA Wrestling Board of Directors as well as on the USA Wrestling Executive Committee.
Kerry McCoy is a wonderful ally and we are lucky to have his insights and support as we forge forward in our educational efforts for youth athletes.
