Hailed as a visionary leader, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has led the prosperous development of Odisha for three consecutive terms since 2000. With a large support base in the state, CM Patnaik is known for his stand against corruption and "pro-poor policies". He is also an acclaimed author with books published in India, England, and the United States.
Earlier this year, CM Patnaik generously welcomed the TeachAids team into his residence, where he formally endorsed the TeachAids animations for large-scale distribution throughout his state.
“HIV is rarely discussed and little understood. As a result, fear grows out of ignorance. Since our foremost duty is to ensure the well-being of people, proper education is the only way to conquer the fear and stigma associated with HIV. As the TeachAids animation says, ‘let’s work together’ to spread the message on HIV prevention!” - Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik
CM Patnaik is strongly committed to preventing future HIV infections and tackling challenges associated with stigma throughout the country. He has announced an innovative plan to remove HIV and AIDS affected persons from the BPL list. Furthermore, he is actively working to provide more support for AIDS-affected individuals and their families, particularly in the Ganjam District, which has one of the highest infection rates in the country.
With the support of CM Patnaik, the Odia version of the TeachAids animated tutorials have also been formally approved by the Odisha State AIDS Control Society (OSACS) through the Department of Health and Family Welfare. The software will incorporate the voices of the most esteemed cultural icons of the region and will be distributed to support youth and vulnerable communities throughout the state of ~40 million.
TeachAids is honored to have the support of CM Patnaik. His strong record of integrity and commitment to helping and protecting vulnerable populations is admirable, setting an example for public figures globally.
