Orthopaedic Surgery Professor and Expert Joins TeachAids as an Advisor
We are pleased to announce that Dr. William Maloney will be joining our team of Advisors at TeachAids. Dr. Maloney’s wealth of experience in medicine, particularly orthopaedic surgery, will be of tremendous value and insight to informing the medical basis behind our programs.
Dr. Maloney serves as the Chair of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Stanford University Medical Center, (a post he has held for over 15 years) and is the Boswell Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Stanford University School of Medicine. He is a member of the Central Program Committee of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and serves as the chair of national medical organizations such as the National Hip and Knee Registry Workgroup of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
With his research focused on failures in surgical joint replacement, he has paved the way for improvements in joint replacement surgery and earned multiple awards from The Hip Society. He has held professorships at numerous universities and earned many other awards from organizations such as the American Orthopaedic Association, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, among others.
He received his medical education from Columbia University and completed his residency at Stanford University. He completed his fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical. Prior to that, he had earned his B.A. in Psychology from Stanford University.
