TeachAids is happy to announce the addition of Donnovan Yisrael, mental health and wellbeing educator at Stanford’s Vaden Health Center, to the CrashCourse advising team.
Yisrael attended Stanford University, earning both a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Sociology. He is passionate about working to answer the question of “why do we do risky things that endanger our health and our lives?” Answering this question requires many disciplines of study, including psychology, cultural and institutional understanding, and investigating the need for social connection and decision-making mechanisms, all of which Yisrael is fluent in.
Yisrael currently works with the iThrive wellness program at Stanford University to help students integrate meaning and joy into their everyday lives. The iThrive program offers courses, discussion groups, student internships, and more to facilitate students’ growth in emotional intelligence and positive psychology. Yisrael also offers his expertise to Kara in Palo Alto, providing grief education to help people with the art and skill of grieving.
We are so excited to have Donovan Yisrael joining our advisory board. Together, we hope to make a powerful and lasting impact on the mental well-being of youth.
