Dr. Anurag Mairal, Director of Global Outreach Programs at Stanford University, Joins TeachAids’ CoviDB Advisory Team

We are immensely pleased to announce that Dr. Anurag Mairal, the Director of Global Outreach Programs at the Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign, has joined the CoviDB Advisory Team. Dr. Anurag will also be a speaker for TeachAids’ COVID-19 Speaker Series. With his expertise in global outreach and medical innovation, Dr. Mairal provides valuable insight into the current COVID-19 pandemic and the most recent developments in vaccine and drug development.
Dr. Mairal leads educational programs at Stanford University as a professor at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business and as a Faculty Fellow at the Lead for Technology Innovation and Impact at Center for Innovation in Global Health. He leads initiatives focused on applying the biodesign process to resource-constrained settings globally. Furthermore, he facilitates opportunities for students, faculty and fellows at Stanford to work on global healthcare needs.
In addition to his work at Stanford, Dr. Mairal is a leader in global healthcare and medical technology. He works with partners in the United States, China, India, and other emerging global markets to guide product development. Dr. Mairal is the co-founder and Executive Vice President of Orbees Medical, a Bay Area consulting firm serving the global healthcare industry. He also serves as the Founding Chair of BME IDEA APAC, a community of medtech innovation programs in Asia that work closely with industry and academia in the area.
