Experienced Medical Professor and Pediatrics Expert Joins TeachAids as an Advisor
We are honored to welcome Dr. Harvey Cohen to our team of Advisors here at TeachAids. Dr. Cohen’s extensive experience in medicine will undoubtedly be of great contribution to our mission in advancing global health.
Dr. Cohen was appointed as the first Deborah E. Addicott – John A. Kriewall and Betsy A. Haehl Family Professor in Pediatrics at the Stanford University School of Medicine in 2007 and, in 2010, the Katie and Paul Dougherty Medical Director of Palliative Care. Previously, he was the Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University, Arline and Pete Harman Professor, and Adalyn Jay Chief of Staff at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, posts he held 1993-2006, and stepped down from in order to return to research, teaching, and clinical care.
Dr. Cohen has had an extensive career in pediatrics and healthcare, with experience spanning over 50 years. He has held positions at the National Institutes of Health, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, Ronald McDonald House, March of Dimes, among many other prominent hospitals, universities, and health organizations/ventures.
Dr. Cohen received both his M.D. and Ph.D. from Duke University in 1970. Prior to that, he had received his Bachelors of Science from Brooklyn College.
