Global Fund for Women Founding President, Anne Firth Murray, joins TeachAids
TeachAids welcomes Anne Firth Murray — author, professor, and Founding President of the Global Fund for Women — as the newest member of the TeachAids advisory board. Murray will utilize her years of experience championing human rights and issues of women’s health to advance the TeachAids communication and distribution strategies.
Murray’s expertise in the philanthropic world is unparalleled. Since its inception in 1987, the grantmaking foundation she created, The Global Fund for Women, has distributed more than $61 million in support of more than 3,500 groups advancing the human rights of women and girls in 167 countries. She has authored two popular books, Paradigm Found: Leading and Managing for Positive Change and From Outrage to Courage: Women Taking Action for Health and Justice.
Murray is a consulting professor at Stanford University and has served on the boards of numerous nonprofit organizations, including the African Women’s Development Fund, the Hesperian Foundation, and as the chair of the Global Justice Center. In 2005, she was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize as a member of a group of 1000 women dedicated to social justice and peace.
Her career has inspired thousands globally to improve women’s health, education, and human rights. We at TeachAids are thrilled to welcome her to our efforts.
