TeachAids Partners with Positive Coaching Alliance to Provide Concussion Education to Youth and Parents Nationwide
Today, we are pleased to announce a new partnership with Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA), a national nonprofit dedicated to transforming youth sports culture. Together, we will provide the TeachAids CrashCourse interactive learning experience which educates youth and parents nationwide about concussions.
Since its founding, PCA’s resources have reached more than 8.6 million youth and high school students, providing positive character-building information for youth sports. Our CrashCourse concussion materials will be shared in PCA’s Development Zone Resource Center and disseminated across their network of over 1,000 schools and youth sports organizations throughout the country. Other organizations, including Pop Warner, American Youth Football and the US Olympic Committee, have shared the CrashCourse education products widely.
“This is such a natural partnership! I have had the honor of being involved with PCA since it’s founding and with TeachAids since the inception of the CrashCourse initiative. Both organization’s respective goals of making youth sport participation safer and a more enjoyable experience is very important. Their initiatives complement each other so very well” stated Dick Gould, Vice Chairman of TeachAids and PCA Advisor. Coach Gould received the Lifetime Achievement Award from PCA in 2012.
Olympic gold medalist and two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup Champion, Julie Foudy, also serves on both advisory boards. In light of their new partnership, Foudy commented: “providing engaging and scientifically-sound education on head injuries is of paramount importance. The CrashCourse materials by TeachAids have been an outstanding resource for our young athletes. It’s been incredible to watch the tremendous momentum around this initiative expand across our country ”
Like Gould, Foudy will be honored along with national teammates Brandi Chastain and Mia Hamm for the Lifetime Achievement Award at PCA’s National Youth Sports Awards & Benefit on April 17th, 2019. PCA will also be celebrating the recipients of the Double-Goal Coach® Award, presented by TeamSnap, and the Tripe-Impact Competitor® Scholarships.
Jason Sacks, VP of Business Development and Philanthropy at Positive Coaching Alliance said: “We were impressed with TeachAids’ evidence-driven development process. Together, PCA and TeachAids will transform the culture around concussions for the 38 million youth actively engaged in sports across the United States.”
We are pleased to collaborate with such a respected organization in the dissemination of important health education to educate our youth and parents to best be able to enjoy the sports they love.
Just a GREAT Partnership with two incredible non-profits – Both promoting healthy and happy kids. . . .
