South African foundation trains “champions” to deliver TeachAids materials
Over the past year, Lindikaya Ntshinga, co-Founder and Executive Director of the Zazi Health Foundation, has worked with his team to train 40 educators using the TeachAids materials. These “champion” educators will in turn deliver the TeachAids animated tutorials and Educator Handbooks to populations in rural communities. The TeachAids trainings and outreach sessions were completed with the generous partial funding from the Department of Health in South Africa.
Founded in 2007, Zazi Health Foundation works in Khayelitsha, a large township outside of Cape Town, South Africa. The township is inhabited by 800,000 residents, 30 percent of whom are HIV-positive. The multi-disciplinary team is leveraging media and technology to improve the lives of individuals through great social impact.
TeachAids is delighted to be partnered with Zazi Health Foundation as they expand their outreach efforts.
