Dr. Brian Hainline Introduces the Concussion Story Wall
Our first spotlight on the CrashCourse Concussion Story Wall features medical expert, Dr. Brian Hainline. In this interactive database, Dr. Hainline introduces our new product and shares key information about the fundamentals of concussions, such as:
- What is a Concussion? What are its causes?
- What is the importance of Concussion Disclosure?
Brian Hainline, M.D., is Chief Medical Officer of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Clinical Professor of Neurology at NYU School of Medicine and Indiana University School of Medicine. As the NCAA’s first Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Hainline oversees the NCAA Sport Science Institute, a national center of excellence whose mission is to promote and develop safety, excellence, and wellness in college student-athletes, and to foster life-long physical and mental development. The NCAA Sport Science Institute works collaboratively with member institutions and centers of excellence across the United States. For over 30 years, Dr. Hainline has been actively involved in sports medicine, including serving as Chief Medical Officer of the US Open Tennis Championships and the United States Tennis Association. He is co-author of Drugs and the Athlete, and played a pivotal role in the rollout of drug testing and education worldwide. He is currently chair of the American Academy of Neurology’s Sports Neurology Section.

About Concussion Story Wall: This product features an interactive database of more than 4000 videos of individual stories relating to how an injury occurred, the symptoms experienced, and personal insights from those who have been injured by a concussion. It is intended as a comprehensive mental health resource for the many who are impacted including athletes, parents, coaches, officials, teachers, and military veterans, among others. An additional highlight includes a panel of 14 of the world’s leading medical experts addressing specific aspects of concussions related to symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and recovery. All CrashCourse concussion education products are available at no cost.
