TeachAids celebrates its official launch as a nonprofit
TeachAids was started in 2005 as a research initiative at Stanford University. After more than two years of operating within Stanford, TeachAids formally launched as an independent nonprofit this year. We are officially partnered with Stanford, among numerous other organizations worldwide.
On December 15, TeachAids celebrated its launch at a special fundraiser at Vino Locale in Palo Alto, California. The event brought together over 100 TeachAids supporters, including numerous Stanford professors and TeachAids volunteers.
We are excited and humbled by the response that our materials have received from individuals and organizations in the more than 20 countries where our materials are currently used. From now through 2010, we will be scaling up our activities, including raising the necessary funds to create many additional research-based, culturally-appropriate HIV/AIDS animations for youth around the world.
