USA Gymnastics to provide members cutting-edge concussion education resources through partnership with TeachAids
TeachAids is pleased to announce a new partnership with USA Gymnastics. As part of their organization’s commitment to athlete health and wellness, they will provide members access to the CrashCourse concussion education.
“The safety and well-being of our athletes is our top priority,” said Kim Kranz, USA Gymnastics Chief of Athlete Wellness. “Partnering with industry experts, such as TeachAids, allows us to provide our members essential education resources to help keep athletes safe, and we are thrilled to add the technology and unique perspective of CrashCourse concussion awareness and response training to the library of educational materials available to our community.”
Based in Indianapolis, USA Gymnastics is the national governing body for gymnastics in the United States, encompassing seven disciplines: women’s gymnastics, men’s gymnastics, trampoline and tumbling, rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, gymnastics for all (a.k.a. group gymnastics) and, most recently, parkour. USA Gymnastics sets the rules and policies that govern the sport of gymnastics. This includes selecting and training the U.S. Gymnastics Teams for the Olympics and World Championships, promoting and developing gymnastics on the grassroots and national levels. USA Gymnastics is committed to providing a safe, empowered and positive training environment, and serving as a resource and educational center for the more than 200,000 members, clubs, fans and gymnasts throughout the United States. The organization is deeply committed to creating a culture that encourages and supports its athletes and focuses on its highest priority: the safety and well-being of athletes and our community.
“It is critical to educate our athletes about this invisible injury across all sports. USA Gymnastics is leading by example” said Dr. Piya Sorcar, founder and CEO of TeachAids.
We are excited to collaborate with the leadership at USA Gymnastics on this important issue. Together we will work to make sports safer.
